From Poland with Love to Rwanda

Press releases

The Pietrucha Group co-funded the purchase of a specialist car for over 140 children from the Educational Institute for the Blind Children in Kibeho. The project found its happy ending on 19th July 2018.

It all began with a tragic car-crash
The idea of the project arose at the end of the last year, during a business mission to Rwanda, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and the Pietrucha Group. After the official business programme, the participants of the mission visited the Institute in Kibeho, where they were greeted with a dance programme prepared for the occasion by a group of children.

Soon, it became clear that the Institute is in urgent need of a new car that would be used for hospital transfers for the children as well as to bring supplies for the Institute. It is not easy to reach the Institute and the former car was completely devastated in 2016 as a result of a car-crash which ended with the tragic death of the founder of the mission, Sister Rafaela Nałęcz.

The sad events eventually found a happy ending…
The costs of purchase and logistics of a new car completely exceeded the spending capability of the Institute. That is why, the participants led by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency took the challenge.
On 18th July 2018, the Toyota with a sign “From Poland with Love to Rwanda” will board a ship at the Baltic shore and go to Africa to serve the wonderful children at Kibeho.
